about the poem
Delve into the delicate balance of keeping and letting go, as we navigate the intricate map of adolescence and relationships in this life where choices are made.

Crossroads

With every step upon the crossroads' path,

We must decide what to keep and what to pass,

In this intricate dance, our destinies clash,

Balancing losses and gains, like an artful cast.

As adolescence unfolds its intricate map,

We navigate desires, a bewildering trap,

Dreams of the heart, like a thunderclap,

Yet, leaving behind all of this scrap.

In love's tender bloom, we come to see,

The beauty of sharing life's jubilee,

But being together often means setting free,

Some solitudes are cherished, like birds from a tree.

In friendships and bonds, we choose with care,

Some souls remain, others drift in the air,

The heart's capacity, vast and rare,

To hold onto a few, let go of the spare.
